Very nice. Great look at Helen's struggles and her means of survival, but also how she enjoys the challenge. I like especially the bit about the cooking pan and Bowie knife belonging to her parents, and how those items are the only things that connect her to them.

This is a great glimpse of what Helen's life on the other side of the anomalies might have been like. I liked the touch of sentimentality with the pan and the knife.
