The end of a stage in life.

You know, when I was first starting school, and I learned that I'd have to make it through twelve more grades before University, I never thought I'd even make it hereI'm almost done my first year of High school, and I already feel so strange. I know what you mean... I was talking a while back about marriage and overtime, and all those things that one traditionally associates with "grown-up" concerns, and I had to stop and boggle. I mean, I'm 27 and I still feel immature and awkward a large percent of the time! *laughs* When I was younger, I used to think that there was this obvious divide between being a kid and being a grown-up, but now I think maybe being a grown-up is just something that happens when you aren't paying attention... I sure wouldn't class myself as one!

And huzzah for getting the braces off, and very very good luck on your exams, my dear! (Not that you need it -- you brainy thing, you! *glomphuggles*)

I think I'm beginning to understand that. I mean, when I was little, I'd always hear stories about people feeling awkward as an adult, and I believed them... but it just seems all the more mind-boggling when you really get nearer to there. XD
