Days of Becoming, Chapter 37
GET READY FOR THREE POSTS IN ONE WEEK! Okay, I'm doing it again!! When this chapter was all done and beta'd, I decided it was really three distinct chapters, so I've split it. Part 1 goes up today, and parts 2 and 3 will follow next week.

Series Summary: This novel focuses mainly on the paths Iceman and Pyro take on their way to adulthood and how they discover and deal with their love for each other. It is a novel about what Joni Mitchell calls ”the dream's malfunction” and how we can learn to make our own dreams when our heroes fail us. Other X characters (including ones from comicverse and elsewhere) and OC's play prominent roles and the action begins before X1, continues through the events of X2 and X3 and concludes in the aftermath of that movie. This novel does not take X-Men Origins: Wolverine as canon.
Previously, in Days of Becoming: A mutant cure has been discovered. All over America, clinics are opening to offer the cure on a voluntary basis to mutants. Unbeknownst to the public, the military has secretly created cure-based weapons to use against mutants. Meanwhile, another tragedy has rocked the mutant world: Charles Xavier is dead, killed by Jean Grey in her Phoenix persona. She has left the scene of the crime with Magneto. Mystique has been depowered by a cure weapon and remains in custody. Back at the mansion, Bobby has come out to himself following a memorable 18th birthday night spent with Gambit. However, he is still in a relationship with Rogue. Jubilee, who has been sidelined from her activities with the New X-Men by a broken leg has seen an old enemy on television. She has convinced a new student with healing abilities, Josh Foley, to help her.
