Aww geez, I'm sorry Simon. Your grandad was so frikin awesome with his crazy computer porn and how he just seemed to really enjoy life. I'm honored I got to meet him.
Well your grandfather was practically the closest thing I had to a grandfather. A fascinating man.
I know that he was special to you. You do not just unquestioningly give up the coveted sleeping 3:00 am - 9:00 am+ time-slot to just anyone at the drop of a jarring phone call.
Time is precious and your particular allocation of time is telling because you value your private time, and I do not have a memory of you turning your grandfather down.
Though, I forgot to ask you to complete an experiment, but you might not have had a chance to perform it. You should have told your grandfather to try and haunt you after he died to help prove or disprove the afterlife. I tried this experiment with my grandmother, but she had Alzheimer's so I doubt she remembered. Lol.
Actually, there were several electrical and mechanical failures between his death and funeral. Including: The electric keypad for the door burning out, the kitchen sink disposal unit developing a leak, intermittent internet, my uncle Hank's car developing engine troubles, my aunt's heart monitor developing problems. And these are only the ones that I recall off the top of my head...of course they could all just be coincidences, but the time frame was rather short.
