Druitt returning to murderous traits had to happen. Just sticking to continuity. If he's been teleporting that much, it had to happen. The inevitable.
I don't get how you see it as relapsing. It might be because I've been in a situation like this before and I get their need for revenge, but I don't see this as relapsing. He isn't killing people just for the heck of it, he is not Jack now, he's John. He's a man who lost his daughter and is consequently thriving for revenge. When you get someone taken away in such an inhuman way, there is so much anger and hurt piled up inside of you that you want to scream and bite and throw things, and what's inevitable is that you actually contemplate killing people. That comes up even in the most human of us, and doesn't necessarily mean we'll all go Jack The Rippers on their asses

I LOVE KATE TOO! There is way more to her character than any of us can begin to imagine! I can't wait for them to begin unraveling her!
And the Dana Whitcomb we know wouldn't let herself be killed that easily...more has to be there! You can't go from uber bad guy to dead...especially how much she contributed to the last eps of the 1st season and the season opener. maybe she will be tortured and in the process will reveal that Ashley isn't really dead :D (hey a girl can dream can't she!)
First off, have you listened to Revelations commentary? Pretty sure the word "relapse" comes up, if not something very similar. I'll re-listen later on after work.
This is John relapsing, in my opinion. Not John becoming Jack, no, I didn't say that. This is John's predilection for murder shining through, fueled by his revenge. You're right. At least it's not empty murdering.
Re: Helen wanting revenge, too.
I think it's like she said to Will in Warriors. We all want revenge, we all have that human element to us, but the measure of a human is in your restraint and your control. Don't tell me you thought she approved of him and Tesla killing every Cabal agent they could get their hands on. There was absolute disgust in her eyes. Sure, she wanted the same revenge, but it obviously wasn't something she approved of.
I have so much more to say, and in reply to your other details, but I have to get ready for a long, sleep-deprived day of work. Yay.
LOL, I didn't mean to sound as harsh as I now realize I did. I just have this thing where I get really passionate about things, you know. :)
Considering how I still don't have the DVDs (the shipping fee is the price of the DVD itself, basically, so I'm gonna have to ask for that as a nameday present or something), I have absolutely no idea what they say about that, LOL.
Oh, I do think that there's a deep dark place in her heart where she wished she'd do it by her own bare hands, HAD she embraced it from the beginning. The only reason she didn't transfer into a revenge-seeking mother (yet?) is because she was in denial ever since it happened. She didn't believe it. For her, she wasn't dead, and therefore there was no reason to wish blood for. She was occupied with proving she was alive, and she is probably going to be occupied embracing this fact from now on. There's a difference between something slowly slipping onto you and something falling on your head with all its force.
There was absolute disgust in her eyes. I think, right

And Second: I think we might be Sanctuary soulmates! Everything you said from the Ryan and Agam chemistry to the Bigfoot "AW" is spot on with my own thinking!
Oh and the coffin scene had me crying from the begining. then they go and do the, "you're my life" scene and that had me sobbing to the point where I had to pause the vid cause I couldn't see through my tears, and I didn't want to miss anything, then once I was under control and I pushed play I started crying again...Now that's powerful! I love this show (in a very non-healthy way lol)
About the RP...I told you if you ever wanted to switch professions go write for Sanctuary!
If anyone watched the commentaries for S1, Amanda and Martin both say that Druit was starting to regress in the season finally. I think its part him wanting revenge and part him not carring how he goes about it which is allowing "Jack" to come to the surface.
so - Tesla's main objective last season was to resurrect the vampire race - and Ashley's part vampire now.
*thought hovers*
his ep is *just* before the season 2 part final...
still - sanctuary has some SERIOUS balls - i am so proud of this show for actually carrying through with something and acting the utter hell out of it. JUST WOW. this is what tv's about - getting an emotional response out of the audience with a story that means something.
I just wanted to say that I called a lot of this episode. Not in a way that made it less fulfilling to watch, but actually gave me a sense of validation.
Exactly. I saw the description and within 10 minutes, I pretty much knew that Magnus is in somewhat of a denial and is subconsciously looking for a miracle, regardless of what she may think of miracles.
Still cried like a little bitch at the end though. Most of the time, deaths and funerals of a more or less main/recurring character always gets to me.
Wow...you must have telepathy because you read my mind but made those jumbled thoughts into much more coherent words! I don't know that I can add anymore except to say that Sanctuary has simply been absolutely fantabulous this season and it's been a long while since I've felt so emotionally vested in a show and it's characters.
