Oooh, I've been wondering about habitica. What kind of things do you use it for? Is it hard to get into?

I use it to motivate me to do...pretty much everything? From washing dishes to writing fic to keeping a leash on my Netflix addiction. You earn pretend gold coins from doing your to-do list/daily chores/general habits and I use those to set custom rewards - I make myself earn each episode of TV I watch.

There's a dedicated Wiki here which I use a lot to learn the game, not that it's difficult, but it helps me make decisions on the way I wanna play and I don't mind spoilers. If you're motivated by not knowing what'll happen once you reach a certain level, don't delve too deep into the Wiki, but it'll give you a great overview. :)

*waves from Fandom Snowflake*

Hello, LJ person! I miss the LJ that used-to-be, too. I enjoy this challenge each year because it gets things stirring around here. And also, it's just plain fun.

I won't rant about Tumblr but hell yes. I adore LJ/DW and the icons and the properly threaded all in one place conversations. I love that the Snowflake Challenge gets so many people posting to their journals and trying new things and meeting new people :)

I'm with you and my previous commenters. LJ used to be a fun place to hang out and share your enthusiasm in fandom.

Also, that's a brilliant idea to use Habitica! I'll create a To-Do as well <3

Habitica is fantastic! I started using it two years ago now and it has actually changed my life. Sounds cheesy, but it really has. I'm now a relatively tidy person as opposed to a relatively untidy, lazy one. :)
