While I can be sympathetic to your dad to a degree, I can certainly see where his son is coming from. My dad just up and dumped as for a new family when I was a teenager and like... fuck him.

I know, it sucks. I mean, my dad was an alcoholic asshole, and he just wanted to be taken care of. He's always been selfish and mostly a jerk, but he is TRYING to make things right, even though it's like 40 years later. I dunno, he was around when I was a kid, but he wasn't REALLY around...so like, he's never been a father of the year type. Still, I hate when things don't work out to the happy ending.

It's definitely a shame when people fuck things up so badly that their own kids don't want anything to do with them.

I tried to stay in touch with my dad a little while back. I went through a couple months or so where I was talking with him on the phone, but I just couldn't get past it. I ended up just not talking to him anymore and I haven't since.

I work in accounting now, which basically means typing in numbers all day. It's totally boring but busy in spurts and when it's slow, there's people all around to talk to so the day goes by at a reasonable pace.

Aw, it's okay, I had that face lots of times before.

My job is retarded. Today my boss gave me his gold amex card. I had to register a corporation in delaware then wire half a mil to some US account from a Japanese bank. I absolutely had no clue what I was doing but I think the fax machine said it worked.
