As a teacher, I think this is a ridiculous policy. If I prefaced every activity with my opinion, I'd be a crappy one. This rule conflicts with my pedagogical orientation, and I will not make that concession.
I understand, however i urge you in your turn to understand that this is no school and we're not pupils. Those are the policies set up from day one of talk_politics, and as you can see (by reading above), they've been accepted by a huge majority of the members. That said, its entirely at your discretion whether you'd make such a "concession" or not - the rules are very simple and very sincere, and the consequences of breaching them systematically are clearly set. If you have a better proposal, be so kind and do tell.
And, in the end of the day, the rule "take it or leave it" applies here, as well as everywhere else. Its really that simple: if you dont like it, just ignore it and dont participate in the debates. We care about people's opinions, and reasonable discussion. This is not a newsreel for copy-pasting random stuff. Being a teacher or anything else cannot be an excuse for being lazy.
Laziness has nothing to do with the issue. If someone had posted a single link with no additional information, you might have a point. Since that wasn't the case, it's just an example of prejudice.
I dont know you, so prejudice is out of the question. Additionally, i dont care about people's political stances, even if they're the most ridiculous ones. They're free to declare them and defend them as much as they want.
Also, you're free to re-post your post but this time adding some analysis of your own.
After all, this is a forum where people present their opinions for discussion. It works that way.
I guess you just misunderstood the purpose of such communities, so now that i've explained, i hope the problem has been solved and we can go on.
