French intel has just come out and said the gas attacks were Assad.

Just saying it's everyone but RT who are in on this conspiracy. Only uncle Vlad and his courageous truth-speakers dare to stand up and defend the Assad regime, well and Iran, obvs.

Which doesn't mean the Syrian rebels should get a free pass for their evil-doings either. But if forced to pick sides... maybe I'd bomb the lot of them. Which is no doubt what the Don will do.

Of course it did.

The French did quite well in pushing the international community towards removing Gaddafi in Libya, by the way. Conveniently, they did that as soon as Gaddafi threatened to reveal the some pretty spicy intel about who funded Sarko's re-election campaign. The French were suddenly all too eager to remove him.

So yeah. The French.

Appeal to popularity? If the "Assad is evil" narrative is shared by enough governments around the world, it must be true, right?

Just like in Iraq, right?

History is written by the winners, after all.

Well, Assad is pretty evil. This doesn't say anything about the virtue of those opposing him, but he's a tyrant.
