It won't happen. He said it a year ago, five or six months before he joined Trumps campaign - when he was running Breitbart (which at the time, was opposition media - opposition media tends to exaggerate and obsess over end-of-world policies and scenarios - so it was then, so it is now)

Careful now, you're going to be called rude by the Told-You-So oracle crowd, for having voiced disbelief in imminent war.

Nah, if a war happens the last thing I'm going to be bothering about it scoring points off folk who had a different opinion.

I may however regard their opinions as not being worth very much. Especially as the Told-You-So crowd were comprehensively rubbished in no uncertain terms. If anyone has the right to be sarky, it ain't those who did the rubbishing.

And also, I'm rather counting on good sense from the Chinese, who seem a sensible people. And who know, unless Trump completely undermines the US constitution, that he has a max of eight years.

Chinese long term goals against a short-termist, myopic, and rather anti-expert Anglo-Saxon mentality? I'd back the Chinese being sensible and waiting until the stupidity subsides. Here's hoping.

I didn't say you'd be the one scoring the points, did I?
