I'd say the concerns (and thinking process) has been postponed indefinitely in this case. First, that of the Polish voters, and then of this clique of scoundrels. Because when the hunger for power rules, any thought goes out of the window.

Whatever their intentions, it's true that the ruling party in Poland have a number of ideas that are outright insane. The biggest problem is that they're putting everything at the basis of the Catholic Christian doctrine, particularly the one espoused by the Polish catholic church, Which is very conservative, mainly because of its long confrontation with the communist regime.

So I expect things to keep the same direction: anti-abortion campaigns, bans on in vitro (right now the government refuses to pay for in vitro procedures, which practically discourages a lot of couples from taking that road because of the huge costs), hitting the morning-after pills (which are hard to find even now), etc.

Weirdly enough, despite the ban on the exhumation of human corpses, it was decided that the Kaczynski spouses should be exhumed, so that it could be proved they had been killed by "an explosion". I guess that could be proved, but exactly how does this act match the professed Catholic tradition, and how to explain this double standard, remains
