Sounds bad. What particular regulations would you propose to rectify this problem?

Solutions include putting some teeth into existing regulations on evictions and conversions, adding hefty fines to rental companies for violations, requiring all hosts to register with the city and submit quarterly reports on safety, limiting the number of airbnbs per building and allowing residential neighborhoods to ban airbnbs.
