It's curious to watch some making the argument that Trump is a disease that has killed the GOP from within.

The GOP killed itself, not Trump. He's a symptom, not the cause.

Someone that socially awkward getting that many delegates - that hasn't happened since....Mitt Romney I guess...but Romneys dad wasn't in on the JFK assassination* - so what Cruz did was more impressive.

* If he comes out with another speech against Trump - I wouldn't doubt this being brought into question

He could have just said "oh well, I've had a good run" and thrown a big party. I get the impression that's what he did with Fiorina: They both knew they were doomed so they decided to pull a "vice president announcement" gig just to mess around in the limelight for a while longer.

But then he chose to use his remaining big-podium time to blast anger at the person who is pretty clearly going to be the GOP presidential candidate.
