Maybe, but then the stakes are higher than they would otherwise be. Then again, it's about time we used the electoral college for what it was designed for.
Someone that socially awkward getting that many delegates - that hasn't happened since....Mitt Romney I guess...but Romneys dad wasn't in on the JFK assassination* - so what Cruz did was more impressive.
* If he comes out with another speech against Trump - I wouldn't doubt this being brought into question
I'm impressed that he gave such a scathing review of Trump as part of his dropping out.
He could have just said "oh well, I've had a good run" and thrown a big party. I get the impression that's what he did with Fiorina: They both knew they were doomed so they decided to pull a "vice president announcement" gig just to mess around in the limelight for a while longer.
But then he chose to use his remaining big-podium time to blast anger at the person who is pretty clearly going to be the GOP presidential candidate. Isn't that a move tailor-made to end his own political career?
