"The guy should get a medal for what he did."

I felt like I was cleaning up a mess. Not like spilled food, not like vomit, not even like…not even like diarrhea. The worst mess possible. And I was stuck with it…They weren’t human. I don’t see them as human. I see them as vermin. Social mistakes, social problems.
These are the words of a killer shortly after he committed his crime. His victims ( Read more... )

Sean Hannity being an assclown is something no one will likely contest.

Mr. Smith was convicted, rightly so. Because his actions show premeditation and the execution-style acts were indefensible as any kind of self-defense.

However, we're also dealing with an old man living alone whose home had been broken into multiple times. I can say that after a burglary, I had trouble sleeping in the house.

You'd be right since I'm opposed to the death penalty.

That's too bad.

Oh quite the contrary, given what you predicted my response would be.

Nah, he deserves the death penalty.

Well, I didn't hear the testimony or see any of the evidence.
But It's easy to sit back on an on-line forum and sentence someone to death online, I suppose.
Definitely harder for me.

Okay. Least we know that you know the control-c function.

The problem is that even if you do have the testimony and jury verdict, I'm sure you'd still refuse to give consider it.

If you're morally opposed to the death penalty, (as I am,) no, hearing the testimony is not going to change your mind.

That's kind of how moral opposition works.

Okay. Least we know that you know the control-c function.

What does this have to do with anything? Are you trying to provoke me?

The problem is that even if you do have the testimony and jury verdict, I'm sure you'd still refuse to give consider it.

There you go again, with your predictions about what you're so sure I would or wouldn't do. And so what? It's irrelevant since you don't have the testimony and evidence. But then, I don't understand why this is all about me.

You really are desperate to make this about anything other than what this guy did.

Clearly saying he deserves the death penalty is me being all about telemann.

Another day, another ad hominem from you. Problem is, too many have piled on on the queue already.

We've had too much derail from you. I think we're done with the warnings at this point.

Where does this "fainting and wailing" stuff come in?

Are you going to bring up baby seals next? Unicorns? Kumbaya?

Years ago, I had a married co-worker from the suburbs. I was invited over for holiday dinners many times because I was single then. Anyway, his front door was kicked down in the middle of the day and the house was cleaned out of valuables. He got his insurance check, bought new stuff that could be replaced like the electronics. Almost a month to the day, the same thing happened again. Basically the thieves either were neighbors or just smart enough to know that insurance would replace stuff. He contemplated taking his vacation time after and waiting alone in the house with his rifle. I understand where he was coming from. I was angry at the violation of this guy's home. Fuck thieves.
