Yes, admittedly, Femen has become the first thing that comes to mind, whenever "Ukraine" is mentioned in the same sentence with "female protesters".

I hear the new Ukrainian government will include an unprecedented number of female members. There still is some hope that this Neanderthal world will be saved from self-destruction, after all.

That is very heartwarming and all, but it has zero chance of working if the government is in a Kent State kind of mindset.

Love is great, but it doesn't deflect bullets.

It tends to shift paradigms, though. It won't stop people from being shot today, granted. If that is where a society's priorities end, that is.
