McCain looks like he was played by Ed Harris.

He was.

Also, Palin had to be coached about everything from the players in WW2, the Russian economic systems, the fact that the Iraq war wasn't about 'Saddam being behind 9/11'.

Steve Schmidt's 60 minutes interview for one. He was McCain's campaign director and Bush's 2004 campaign director, and there are other campaign aides who talked about this in the book.

This seems to be the year of biographical movies about living politicians (e.g. Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher, etc). =)

rofl.

Sarah, is that you?

Sounds like classic paranoia, everyone is out to get her, the media, her former campaign directors, John McCain, Obama, you name it. Because it's so outrageous to believe she was in over her head as demonstrated by her shitty answers in even friendly interviews (e.g. Glenn Beck "ALL OF THEM.")

I thought the movie was OK. Sarah Palin was clearly in over her head. The movie pointed out that her son was going to war, her daughter was pregnant (by the local high school idiot), and dealing with a special needs child while being engaged in a presidential campaign placed her on the verge of a nervous breakdown. That seems perfectly believable to me.

So much publicity and she didn't even win the election...

It's a crazy concept, I don't think the media has given so much attention to other presidential run, first losers...

Like, how's Jon Kerry doing? Or how about Bob Dole? Hillary is secretary of state, but even she isn't talked about much after having lost nomination for the presidential race. If she hadn't she would have likely been the first female president.

But Palin is a "game changer". Considering the outcome of the 2008 election, I'm not sure the game changed in her favor... and in that case she said it not me!
