Those of us who are Clinton supporters say that those scandals were manufactured BS. The only one with any merit to it at all was grounded in consensual sex.

No one ever crosses the line if people arbitrarily shift it around or add loopholes, exemptions or otherwise disregard trangressions.

Berlusconi might be going out, but the Right practically remains in power. At the moment the Northern League which is in his coalition could attract still one or two more parties into the rightist coalition. The Christian Democrats of Casini will be of particular importance for this. Also Gianni Letta and the senate chairman Schifani are being frequently mentioned ( ... )

I suspect Italians must get incredibly desensitized to rotten leaders following history class. Berlusconi is peanuts compared to some the Roman emperors that have ruled their territory.

This is what I think of when I worry about an unchecked bureaucracy, regulatory barriers to entry, high taxes on businesses, and terrible public education. I hope no other countries share Italy's fate, but it could happen if we're not careful.
