Here's a recent one, for starters:

Basically, anything that Rick Scott has gotten his hands on instantly becomes stupid.

Why do you only hear of policies that require massive intrusion into the lives and privacy of the poor from small government types?

If the market is being promoted as being for local grown produce then I don't see what the problem is. It's not like they're being banned from stores. This kinda like going to a vegetarian restaurant and getting upset because they wont cook you a steak.

Has recently introduced legislation that makes it legal to discriminate on the grounds of religion, sexuality, gender, marital status and parental status for religious institutions only. It's basically so the Catholics and Fundies can legally fire the gays and single mums. Mind you, the law outlawing such activities is only a few years old. The funny part comes when the law didn't pass because 5 MPs missed the vote (an MP from the same party missed another vote 2 nights ago because she was asleep in her office ( ... )

Worthwhile update RE: the discrimination bill.

So once a bill is defeated here it can't be re-introduced. That is, of course, unless you suspend the standing orders of parliament and do it anyway. Which is what they're doing. Undemocratically forcing through an undemocratic law.

Some of the things this bill will allow: firing a woman for having a child whilst unmarried and refusing to treat patients because they are an atheist.
