The Turkish government doesn't discriminate between ISIL and PKK, the banned Kurdish Workers Party. As far as Turkey is concerned, they're both terrorist organizations. So it wasn't a surprise that the Turkish prime minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that they'll strike any terrorist group that threatens the Turkish borders. So Turkey bombed both PKK

No, there are a multitude of options, including the ones we've been choosing for the last 50 years.

That said if you actually gave a shit about any of the things you claim to give a shot about, sanctity of human life, self determination, etc,,, you'd see that those are only two options that actually further those objectives.

What's the point of helping a region get back on it's feet if they're just going to go back to killing eachother a year later. Bombing ISIL doesn't actually solve anything because it doesn't address the root cause.
