Taking Back Sunday lyrics

Jun 10, 2006 17:54

So. A month or so ago I typed out the lyrics to the songs on Louder Now. The lyrics to the other two CDs were already up on Refracting. I figured I'd post them all here in one big bundle. Because I'm obsessive like that.

Whoa, you typed out the lyrics? Hehe, I would've been like, COPY. PASTE. COPY. PASTE. Just because I'm lazy like that. :P

I've heard so much about this band, but I never put in an effort to actually listen to them. I really should though, they sound pretty good. :)

Thing is, the only thing to copy are the lyrics they actually sing in the song, and I like the version in the CD booklets much better. So in my free time I type them out. Because I'm just so obsessed.

And yes, you should DEFINITELY listen to them. I never get tired of them, and I have a short attention span, music-wise. Then again, I'm also easily obsessed. Hm.)

Oh, I know how this goes. When you love the song so much you just have to type it out. I LOVE TBS - have their first two CDs, but still haven't gotten the third. In your opinion, which one is your favorite/the best? And I didn't actually notice for Where You Want To Be, but on Tell All Your Friends, I remember the CD booklet lyrics are different from the actual song...not all, I don't think, but I remember "Timberwolves At Jersey" was like that.

I just wanted to drop a note and thank you for your comment on my last post. It meant a lot just to hear that someone read through it all ♥

P.S. Your header is gorgeous.

I think Where You Want to Be is my favorite CD of theirs. I'm not sure why, but I find I have more favorite songs on that one than the other two. But my copy of it's all scratched up, so I haven't been able to listen to it without skipping since my iPod crashed. Which is sad. Most of the songs on Louder Now are good enough to make up for it, though. You should definitely get it.

And yup, the lyrics for all the songs are different from what's in the booklets. Which would be part of why I bothered typing them out in the first place. Usually I'll just Google song lyrics if I want to see them typed out or access them when the booklet's not with me, but people only ever post the song version for TBS, and I like the booklet versions better. Much more writing-inspiring, for one. And usually there are great lyrics that are so faded into the background in the song that you can't make them out, so it's great getting all of it.

Gorgeous header? What? Your header is so much prettier than mine. Thanks, though!

...And are you feeling any

Ahh, scratched CDs are a tragedy. I can't decide between their first and second :P Word, the booklet version lyrics of Tell All Your Friends (I never checked WYWTB) were more to my liking.

LOL, thank you! I'll pass the message along to bubbleforest; she's the one who makes any D/G fanart I had around :P

I am feeling better - slept on it, worked out this morning, normal things just to kind of purge it. And writing it out helped a lot. Thank you for asking!
