I have similar feelings. I had a few ideas before, but I don't know if and when I can vid these movies again. There's this one idea that I really wanted (and kinda still want) to make, but I just can't right now.

"I thought pop songs, summer sun, and light fun. It's all gone dark now." I know what you mean. I still have much love for them, but it will need time... *sigh*

I thought of you as I wrote this. It may be selfish, but I for one am very glad you were as productive as you were this year because it will be difficult to approach the movies with the same lighthearted joy now. But we will always have your vids to remind us of happier days. *sniffs*

Aww, thank you for your kind words. I'm also happy I got into this fandom and that I got to do the things I did. And your vids played a big part in me doing that, thank you! Good thing we'll always have them as well. And I agree about the difference in approach, every vid (and every other fan work as well) will inevitably have a different connotation now.

Thankfully right now I have festivids and other vid projects to distract me, I really need that, but it's still not easy...

Yeah. It's going to take me a while to get beyond the sadness to remember all the happiness he brought.

For me, I usually try to focus on thinking that if it's me, nothing would make me happier than to know my own work is still being enjoyed after I'm gone. And I think most creators and performers probably are like that; but it's hard when you don't know someone beyond their work, to respect them for more than their work? And this is so tragic, when that franchise was so much my happy place...I hope I can get it back but yeah it will take time...

I know exactly what you mean. I can't even go back and look at any of the vids I made right now. I wanted to after I heard, but then I realized I just couldn't. And I keep seeing commercials for the last movie and it's just killing me.

One day, I'll be able to look at my old vids and smile, but it's really just too soon right now. I hope the movie handles his death well. I think it will if Vin Diesel has anything to say about it.
