I so wanted to. Last night, I almost had myself convinced to do it. But grad school is just eating all my time, and this quarter won't end until Christmas, and I...just couldn't see how I could manage it. On the bright side: tons of new vids to watch, coming soon! :D
It ranks up there as one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It's just gross. I can't believe it was written by women--it's so misogynistic. Anna Feris and Chris Evans deserve better than to be acting in that crap.
We shall have to talk about why it was so bad. I didn't leave work until buttcrack late yesterday, but it seems like it was a good thing that I didn't go?
Donated to OTW. I'd used them infrequently before, but then XMFC came along and stole my life and OTW has been instrumental in this. Plus I was told just how much our community is involved with them, so how can I not help out?
Haha. You may regret it if you open that can of worms. I think I kind of shocked Madelyn with how vehemently I hated this movie.

I feel exactly the same way. I had been kinda meh about the whole thing, and then XMFC exploded all over that place, and I was in fic heaven. So much good stuff--even the fanfiction.net people are posting there!
Speaking of ff.net, I've been meaning to ask: do you tag where you find fic? I know you read a few things on ff.net, but I never look there for new stuff. It's been so long since I've found good things there, and Ao3 just tends to be of higher quality. However, I don't want to miss out on things because I don't check out the Pit anymore.
I did go to Ao3 to look for LotR fic after I saw the movies, but since fandom pre-dated the creation of the Archive, there wasn't much there. I think that fandoms, going forward, will be making good use of Ao3, which makes me a happy camper.
There's not a whole lot there, and my two favorites, All Along the Watchtower and Why Cerebro Was Built by Hippies (both by the same author, NezumiPi) are on AO3 now.
