Whew! This is one of the more difficult things I've ever attempted--historical AU vidding. And I have another one to go. What I get myself into. ;)
danceswithgary, please be patient with me. Your vid is in the works, but I'm going to reward myself with an easier project before I tackle yours full-throttle. Watch this journal in the next couple of months. Sorry I

I have to confess I was wondering how in the hell you were going to be able to do this, since Clark was, y'know, an INDIAN in my story, and we've never seen him put on the facepaint in the series (although that would be awesome as a dream or something, especially with the long hair from the original challenge manip...) but you came through magnificently!
Going to watch it again...and again...and then again.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!

I adore the music you picked, which worked SO much better than a rock song would have.
Whew, that's a relief. I know you wanted a rock song, but I just didn't want lyrics to distract from the story I was building. I was glad to find The Fountain because the music was so wonderfully dramatic. Perfect for the imagery I had in mind.

Trust me, I had the same doubts. LOL. But you really gave me a lot of vivid imagery to work with.
Going to watch it again...and again...and then again.
Squeee!!!The true way to a vidder's heart: tell her you want to re-watch her vid. Thanks!

Yay! I'm so glad all of those elements worked for you; as I said, I definitely had some vivid imagery from the story to work with.
But I think my favorite part was little Kal and little Alex, because that was so much exactly like I pictured it in my mind as I was writing it.
Cool! That's actually something I wanted to include from the very beginning, and the way they shot it in the show (the angles and sightlines) made it work perfectly.
I did some silent squeeing, and I'm still squeeing every time I watch it.
Thank you so much for telling me that. It makes me very happy. :DDD
I salute you for all the hard work that you obviously put into this!
Thanks! It's my pleasure, believe me.

And do you mind if I don't say what my other source was? I don't want to risk damaging the fragile suspension of disbelief thing I've got going on here. I have to have some trade secrets, dontcha know. ;)
