Thanks! Honestly, sometimes I worry that the plot isn't moving fast enough, what with all the character stuff, so I'm glad you think I've gotten a pretty good balance.

In all the betrayal and heart ache, there are positive things, too - Arthur's great care and compassion for Merlin and his recognition of Uther's faults. It doesn't feel like much now, but they're things that will serve him well.

This is a fantastic, emotional read. I'm just sorry I've run out of updates.

I think those few positive things may be all that's left to really get them through this. Without those, I'm pretty sure everything would completely fall apart.
