Yup, there's more of my fic here (too many hours in front of a computer can cause myopia, I know : P ) and also tagged on my personal journal, though some of that feels a bit scrappy to me now. Thanks, CHK. As I remember, you friended me after reading one of my James/Lily stories, but that was a while ago now. I'm glad the twosome here fill the shoes of James and Sirius for you. Consider their antics a happy birthday wish! : )

You always bring the Marauders right to life! This seems like exactly the kind of encounter that would have led Rosmerta to say her line about "quite the double act, Sirius Black and James Potter." But on this evening, it's more than just joking around -- it's touching to see Rosmerta let them know a little bit about herself. And it's fun to see Sirius in the throes of his crush, hee.

James and Sirius really feel like teenage boys here, too -- always hungry, and even James is enjoying the "scenery" despite his interest in Lily, hee.

Oh, I always loved that line and imagined there were some entertaining scenarios behind it. As for Rosmerta, she must have had some depth as a woman to run her own business and keep any drunkards in line, especially in light of her good looks. And I imagine the boys' lightheartedness was a welcome change, even when they did push their luck. I enjoyed filling out her character a little. What didn’t make it into the story is that I picture her as having been a Hufflepuff.

Many thanks on the compliments regarding Sirius and James coming across as teens. Much love for that ridiculous age. : )
