I'm surprised Rosmerta doesn't get written more often. I find her an intriguing minor character.

Oh, I always loved that line and imagined there were some entertaining scenarios behind it. As for Rosmerta, she must have had some depth as a woman to run her own business and keep any drunkards in line, especially in light of her good looks. And I imagine the boys' lightheartedness was a welcome change, even when they did push their luck. I enjoyed filling out her character a little. What didn’t make it into the story is that I picture her as having been a Hufflepuff.
Many thanks on the compliments regarding Sirius and James coming across as teens. Much love for that ridiculous age. : )
