[Back in his world, Lloyd had been taught to look out for anyone who might be watching. It was a harsh lesson to learn back then...
The voice may have been quiet, but it still makes Lloyd freeze, then turn his head swiftly to see who's watching him. The sight makes him tense, though he doesn't reach for his sword, not yet. This world has a way of pulling in all different kinds of people, after all...]
[That's... certainly different from a reaction he'd expect from any other Mithos. Others might have jeered at him, taunted him, attempted to do something to him while he was off guard. That act alone makes Lloyd relax, just slightly. He's still wary and keeping his guard up, though.
Mithos might notice that this Lloyd is a couple of inches taller than normal, and his voice is a tad deeper, too.]
[Kratos floats through the shadows of the trees into the clearing and surveys Lloyd's progress while he's gone. Which is probably no more than a pile of wood and some tools, but still! He'll stand here studying the beginnings of the boat until Lloyd gets back.
[Indeed, all that's there right now are long piles of wood, tools, and several plans drawn out and kept under a rock so that they won't blow away in the wind. The one in bold appears to be the final plan, while the others were just sketched out, maybe with some arrows pointing out something and notes off to the side. Underneath another rock near a log, almost hidden, is a cloak that might look familiar.
It takes some time, but Lloyd returns with some more wood over his shoulder, a somewhat worn out expression on his face. Going back and forth with heavy piles of wood on your shoulders can tucker you out after a while! He hadn't noticed Kratos hiding there, but once he gets close to his wood pile, he freezes where he is and tilts his head just a bit, as if he's listening for something.
He might not be as adept as his father at picking out intruders, but he's been learning. Those were tough lessons, but beneficial in the end.]
[Kratos never hides himself for long, even from Lloyd. He's wearing the lightest, sweetest smile to go with that old mercenary outfit. It's been a looooong time since he saw this one, the tortured Lloyd from a future where he still cleaned up after Kratos' mistakes... That cloak is proof of their bond, as are the memories and words exchanged, time spent sneaking Lloyd through the City despite his burden and lending him a place to sleep.
Yes, this one is Kratos' son as much as any other. Perhaps more. Auburn bangs fall across his nose as he regards Lloyd with a slight cant of his head.]
[The sight of Kratos makes Lloyd's eyes widen and a smile, slow and unsure, yet happy all the same, spread across his face. It... It was Kratos. His Dad. One of the main reasons why he was so happy to be brought back here, one of the reasons why he was slightly disheartened by not finding him immediately.
Still, he can't really be sure who this one really is... Until he speaks, anyway.
"You haven't forgotten."
Those words make any trace of uncertainty fade, and his smile grows into a grin as he bends to lower the wood onto the pile. He couldn't just stand there and leave those on his shoulders while his father was here.]
