 A good way to get one's problem taken care of is to yell at the receptionist. The reason they put her out front, after all, is because she runs everything.

Seriously.
I will wave my hands and conjure up some new techs to cover the fact that that we're understaffed today.
(There's a possibilty I'll be up for training and as a tech and *gasp* just maybe a full time job)

I would never yell at a receptionist because in a lot of companies, they do indeed run everything.

Or at the very least, they hold the Big Magic Bag Of Spells to get you what you need.
