Writer's Block: Honey Bear

Rumor has it, and one of these days I'll actually do the work to find out if it's true, that I am related on my paternal grandmother's side to AA Milne.  No surprise then that the resident of Pooh Corner I identify most closely with is Christopher Robin himself.  He was a boy who talked to his toys and had an active imagination, and that was me at ( Read more... )

I've been told that I am somehow or other distantly related to Robert Louis Stevenson on my mom's side, but it could be a family legend. I still like to think it's true, though.

I, myself, am a Piglet. I even changed Piglet's gender, and insisted that any grownups reading to me do the same, to female. I still think of Piglet as more feminine than masculine.

I find that I aspire to be like Pooh and then immediately realize that one can't "aspire" to be like Pooh. Here and there I have Pooh-like moments and when I have them I just try to be aware of them.
