So.

I have a ticket to the NYC Comic Con this Sunday, where I will hopefully meet up with old STAPA friend Dan Sehn, and perhaps meet some of the folks from drunkduck (none of the guys who make the strips I read are going to be there, I don't think ... but some other DD folks will be).

AND, more excitingly ...

Thanks to the ever-helpful Dave Lapkin, I ( Read more... )

Obviously we'll be needing pictures of Harry Potter's wand, please. No one on the West End apparently managed to perform that bit of magic.

I am nowhere near stealthy, sly, sneaky, etc, enough to pull that off, unless I get a private meet-and-greet *grin*. But I'll give you all the details I can memorize!

I'm sure I will ... of course I have (counts on fingers, carry the one ...) about 7 months to build anticipation. *grin*

Congratulations, you've made Mom jealous again. Is Mr. Lapkin the voice artist?

Mr. Lapkin is indeed the voice artist, currently appearing on Viva Pinata! and Chaotic.

Mom is jealous of me going to the big comic book convention on Sunday? Ask her what she wants me to pick up for her. *grin*

When I was in Portland, Jim insisted that I read the "One More Day" and the beginning of the "Brand New Day" Spidey storylines, so he packed up his issues and shipped them off to me. I'll probably be reading them over the next two days as I prep for and recover from The Big Insert. *grin*

this is so outside your current discussions here but I had to at least let you know, 'cuz, you know, I'm the helpful type. If you ever want to frame anything at Michaels, wait for the circular (Sunday newspaper insert, usually every other week right now) and clip the 50% off any professional framing coupon. Then you'll only be somewhat bankrupted by such a project.

Got an unexpected day off from work today. There was a waterfall coming from under my hot water heater in the garage when I went out to put stuff in the car.

talk to ya soon.

There were no specials running, and there wasn't a copy of the circular around ... the guy looked. I'm still not sure I'd have done it, even at half that price. $200 still seems like it'd be too much for a $29 print. *grin*
