I would join the 365Stories thing, except that I don't think I have access to that many new stories: I don't subscribe to "The New Yorker," the only short stories I would read would be in anthologies, most of which I've already read (i.e. Mr. King).

Yeah, it's pretty much my subscription to the New Yorker and the occasional magazine I pick up (like Tin House or Zeotrope) that makes me want to do that. I may change my mind.

Besides, I need the time to finish "The Rift". Bwah hah hah hah hah hah! *sigh* Ah, it's fun to have dreams that'll never happen.

I think you mentioned it once, but I of course either didn't follow the link, or did and forgot to bookmark it.

I'll have to investigate it in the morning.

I knew SOMEBODY did! *grin* C'mon, Jen, you know how old and forgetful I am. At least I had the right gender -- and I think you were living in Texas when you told me about it, and Carolyn lives in Texas ...

I can keep justifying all night if I have to. *wink*

I'd totally join 365Stories!

I think it's a great goal, and I sure have plenty of short stories to read (by Horacio Quiroga, Julio Cortazar, Jorge Luis Borges, etc).

I have to figure out how to start a community and what effort it would take to maintain and if I have the time -- if not, we could always just put the tag on our entries and discuss/keep track that way.

Off to a start -- read the new John Updike story in this week's New Yorker. Not impressed with the story, but at least I read something!

Creating a community is very very easy!
