What a great explanation for Pippin's skill.

I like your Paladin. It is nice to see a good relationship between he and Pippin, even though I don't write them that way.

Somehow, this story just seems to fit the weather we've been having lately.

What a wonderful and exciting explanation for Pippin's ability! I really love the way he thought so quickly of a solution for the problem. And of course, he would have thought of saving the food--he's a hobbit after all!

I also love Paladin's reaction, and the way the hobbits wondered about what was going on at home. Poor dears, they've no idea, and I suppose it's just as well, for they can't do anything about it anyway.

I love it when writers bring in parts from the books and expand them into their own story. This was a very nice example of that! Great tale!
