Oh,no--another cliff hanger, lol. Awesome, Dreamflower! I thoroughly enjoyed the waiting and finally the arrival of Frodo after a year-long absence. The comment about Gandalf being on holiday was sweet, lol. I do love this Eucatastrophe universe and will wait as patiently as our beloved Pippin for the next installment. :-)
Not too awful a cliffie, though, LOL! At least no one's in peril.
Well, in this universe, Gandalf is rewarded for his long toil to defeat Sauron by being allowed to return to M-e just to relax and enjoy his friends for a few decades. He won't be allowed to intervene in mortal affairs, but he can still do a few of his smaller wizardly magics for fun. And he still has Narya, which he may use when he deems it really necessary. It has, after all, been freed to its full power, now that the One is gone. But he'd only do that in a real emergency.
So, Gandalf *is* basically "on holiday" here! LOL!
Well, in this universe, it did. But of course, however much we might like this sort of happy ending for our lads, JRRT was wise in knowing that sometimes the bittersweet is more important, and has a deeper lesson.
Still, it *is* fun to play in a universe where making the characters happy is the only important thing!

And I think it's about time the cousins got to have the kind of Adventure they'd once hoped for, just a nice little "there and back again" jaunt.
