The unveiling of my baby

Oct 27, 2009 16:40

My baby, of course, being a story.  I'm not, like, pregnant.  That would be more than a little weird.

I can hear an amused sigh behind me.  I pretend I don't.

She is watching me again for some reason; perhaps she finds some sadistic joy in seeing me squirm under her ridiculously assessing gaze--she, an amateur, assessing me, as though she knew ( Read more... )

damn it, what a brilliant story. sheesh, allie. can't you FAIL to impress me? not even once? i've read this five times, and i'm up for another take. i'm really envious now. T.T

"I was going to tell you'd deserve a victory with a performance like that," she says coolly, and my stomach clenches, "but what does my opinion matter to the new fucking Mozart?"

now that's an interesting line. and this baby deserves to be baptized. interesting spirit. *i have a feeling that she might actually be someone i know. hehehe.* maybe you'd like to "expand" on this, allie? owen is kind of a weak deal, yes, but i'd like to see how he would overcome his 'problems.' this sure is something to look forward to.

you are the best writer in whole wide world, allie. i cannot say anything more. T.T

well, actually...the story itself is about 19,000 words. it's the longest continuous story I've ever written. ...do you want to read more? except lately I've been wanting to either totally redo it or go over it and fix stuff. D: I'm such a damn perfectionist.

Owen is, as was described, a violinist--essentially, he's cold, seemingly emotionless, a perfectionist (holding impossible standards both for himself and for other people), and has a lovely chip on his shoulder. and he was actually kindasorta inspired by Len? if you read more you'd see the similarities :D
Cassie is my own invention. she's...kind of his foil, actually. very passionate, upbeat, sarcastic, bold. but sometimes it feels like the fearlessness is a mask, and she's hiding some insecurities underneath, which she is, hurhur.

thank you, angel. *hug* surely not. the story is by no means finished. :/ I need to fix all this crap...I feel like the plot's going nowhere.
GASP maybe you can HELP ME!
*pleading puppy eyes*

whoa, im DYING to read the succeeding installments. i should be the one batting eyelashes and pleading with puppy eyes. wooooo!! *a damn perfectionist you are, eh, but you are half a notch below perfection, ask me*

yeah, at first i thought it was another len/kaho fic, and then i noticed the one line which doesn't seem to apply to him (and his relationship with hino). and cassie. gah, i really would like to read more about her. strong personalities (a girl's, duh) appeal to me greatly. maybe she would be able to inspire me. btw, i can apply her lines to someone. *evil grin* the only thing i can do to help is to continuously cheer you on. yea, yea, *ryo nishikido's song 'code' playing on the background* go allie! whoopdedoo! ^-^

Ahahaha, cool, I'll post 'em as soon as I can ^.^
Yeahhh, Cassie. She's an interesting character. She still haunts me to this day, I really want to finish a story about her. She's kinda complex. I'm quite proud of having come up with her to be honest xD

And now, darling: I must ask you for a favor.
Like I always do, I procrastinated until two days before the deadline to write a thing for the La Corda contest. BUT I DID!
...Now how do I post?

Help plz. D:
