[Russia smiles a crack. His day didn't start with a headache. A good sign. He wakes open a single eye and looks through the camera screen.]

Oh, hello, New Ashford. I didn't see you there~! Did you know that the water was almost as good as my vodka? It still missed the flavor, but it is okay. I forgive you.

[He paused and looked around the room. It ( Read more... )

I don't think that's a good idea, Russia.

[He'd already said this, but he was going to say it again anyway.]

And I think you should watch your steps carefully, comrade.

[No. This smile is not friendly. He warned you earlier. As far as he knows, you may be working with the cult. You were in the field in the middle of nowhere, after all.]

My steps? What are you talking about? What you are wanting to do is suicide, Ivan.

[He's worried. Not just about the people who might get involved in this plan, but for you too.]

Suicide? You know that isn't possible for me, Alfred. I'm a nation. Nations can't die as long as we are still around. I won't die. [Yup. Still considers himself too strong to die from undeath.]

[Worried? Worried over inevitable success? Sure, maybe we'd lose a few, but that's okay. Sacrifices are always needed. Perhaps no one would know this fact more than Russia.]

Wait...what!? A new settlement?

What are you doing?

I'm doing what needs to be done, da? If everyone pitches in and we can form even the smallest of an Army, we can in the very least gain new supplies, if not acquire another home for refugees. Will you be willing to help me? It's a good cause, isn't it?

[He smiled. Partially because he knows smiling makes conversations easier, and mostly because he has no idea what he could possibly be getting himself into.]

[He facepalms, sighs.]

If you want to help with the supply runs there's one scheduled for next week. Just...don't do anything drastic. If you kick the hornet's nest, it's going to sting everyone, not just you.

[Russia gives the man a stern look.] So there is a way to keep this place running on a day-to-day basis.

[He wondered why no one has tried capturing another settlement. Did New Ashford have so little soldiers?] Why would I attract their eyes? I'll have General Winter on my side. He never fails me.

Oblique threats ain't exactly the way to "rally the troops", dude. Just so you know.

Rally? Why would we need to do that? Their backs are already against they wall, da? I don't even think we have a contingency plan, should a horde be amassed. It's not a question of rallying, it's a point. Fight or die to come back to kill those you love. I think the choice is a simple one. Fight and grow stronger.

[No, Dante's not going to roll his eyes. ...not yet, anyway.]

Dunno if you've noticed, dude, but some folks stuck here aren't "warriors". They're civilians, and the best way to get 'em slaughtered is hand 'em a weapon and say, "Go getcha some".

[Ivan smiled at that concept. That would be lovely. To him at least.] Then they weren't intended to make it through the day, nor were they intended for the battle, but that is war, da?

If those few fall believing what they were doing was saving this forsaken country, I would think they died happily, and if they did succeed, then all the more.

I don't think a second settlement is a good idea right now. In times like this, we should stick together. Dividing ourselves won't accomplish anything. Believe me, I know...

Perhaps not, but sacking on of their own might give this town the space it needs to become a bastion to those unaffected in this world. [He smiled coldly, looking at the man.]

Then don't be the divider, da? Why not help in marking a blow against our enemy?

What's wrong with New Ashford? From what I can see, this settlement seems to be working just fine.

[video] purplecurse May 30 2011, 21:21:26 UTC
There's a difference between 'just fine' and surviving.

[His aura began to glow around him.]

We'll be 'just fine' when there is at least one country free. Until then, our chances of 'just fine' are rather finite. If our enemy wanted to, we could be destroyed easily. Does the prospect seem 'just fine' to you?

I'm not suggesting we fight the army, I'm suggesting we find a weak spot and attack it for all it may be worth. I doubt supplies here are sufficient for the influx of people, da?

[He looked at the man closely] Focused? it sounds like you'd like to help me~

Then when would you prefer death? It happens to everyone...

[He smiled.] Almost everyone.
