I went to my grandmum's house on Tuesday and returned last night. One huge perq of being unemployed is that you can take 5-day weekends and still have Sunday left. You had snow for putting up your trees? That's so not fair. I had a torrential downpour! Actually, the tree is up here but not decorated. Andy must first tie it to the wall, as the cats climbed it last year and I lost several ornaments when the tree toppled over.

Yup, we got snow; then it cleared up and got down to 15ºF last night. Good thing I've still got that hole in my ceiling.

Ah, holes in the ceiling. That means lovely snow on the Christmas tree, right? Not exactly what I have in mind when I say 'decorate the tree'.

The weather has been oddly warm up here. Lots of us are worrying about the possibility of another ice storm. *sigh*

Yes, in the ceiling, but not in the roof. I think. My roofer neighbor seems to have patched up those leaks well enough to last until spring, when he can redo my whole roof.

I just picked out the color for the shingles: Rustic Redwood for my yellow-brick house with pink mortar.
