hee! Reading this, all I could think was that it's a good thing this fest isn't anonymous. Everyone would think that I'd assigned shocolate to write for herself. Which I almost never do. ;)

Seriously, though, this is great. I always love a shippy story where you get an outsider's point of view on the couple, but this is perfect because Ron is so close to both of them. It ends up being a very intimate portrait. And his machinations are perfect -- they feel very much like Ron the chess strategist. Great job.

Oh, and MAJOR bonus points for using the phrase "taking it in turns" in the story!! I squeed out loud. :D

Hee! Thanks! I've never really written Ron before, but holy cow, was he pushy when I was writing this! I had no idea he could be so forceful. :P Maybe he snuck in and read your spreadsheet so he knew I was writing for shocolate?

I honestly didn't even realize I used "taking it in turns" in the story until I went back to reread before I sent it off to beta. I kept thinking, "Why does that phrase sound so familiar?" And then a post from the community went across my flist and I went, "D'uh" and facepalmed. :P

Me too! It was just what my Ron would have done... some masterful moding!

This was brilliant! A really fun read, and I loved your Ron as much as I do shocolate's. :)

Sometimes, when she wants to talk, just that'll make her crack, but when she doesn't want to talk, the thing that works the best is to be there and watch her but not say anything. She can't stand the silence.

I especially liked this. Ron may pretend to have the emotional range of a teaspoon, but he's pretty perceptive when he wants to be.

Eighteen months, Harry. Even I know that's taking it a bit long.

Hee! There were loads of other great lines, as well, and I thought it was really well written. Fabulous!

Hee. Thanks so much! What a great review!

I loved your Ron as much as I do shocolate's.

*blinks* Wow. That's high praise, indeed! I was a little nervous writing Ron for her, because she's shocolate and I think everyone knows how she feels about Ron (and if you didn't, all you'd have to do is read just one of her fics)! So to have my Ron compared to her Ron makes me very happy. :)

And thanks for the rec, too! I think you've totally made my weekend!

This was so much fun! Like someone else said, I like reading shippy stories from another person's POV and what better person for a H/G story than Ron? I don't think a person could be closer to the two of them than Ron. Such a perfect fic for shocolate too!

Hee! Thanks. I originaly didn't plan for Ron to be this involved with the story, but he completely took over, and I just kind of...went along for the ride. :)

Oh Ron. Why is he so awesome ? I really loved this story. It was a very fun read and I agree with the others that Ron is the best choice for another person's view on Harry and Ginny as he's so close to them both. I would love to read what Ron would do for George and Angelina LOL.

*grins* Thanks for the lovely comments.

Ron is awesome. I've always liked him, but until I wrote this, I really had no idea how much fun he is. Ron's always been a take charge kind of guy to me, a man of action, y'know? And I just couldn't see him sitting around while two of his favorite people were making themselves (and each other) miserable, especially if he could do something about it.
