Title: The Hero's Haunting Author/Artist: irislock Pairing: Harry/Ginny Rating: light R Word Count: 16,200 Summary: It started on an ordinary day when a book found Harry in the Restricted Section.
Aw - thanks, hon! You've been on my mind lately. I know the storms mostly missed you this time, but it's been a turbulent spring in the south, hasn't it?
No family reunion this year - but we're hoping to make it down your way next year :)
This was really lovely. Plotty and wonderfully drawn, with excellent supporting character appearances. I especially loved Neville and the demonstration of his friendship with Harry and Ginny. Really really well done!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it, especially since it ended up being for you in a way. It was a little odd to write about Harry and Ginny without including Ron and Hermione, but it gave me a chance to explore some other characters that I don't often write. Neville didn't make it into the JKR's Epilogue, but I like to think that he would remain very close to Harry and Ginny.
Thanks so much! I'm sorry - my brain seems to have fallen out - I thought I had replied to this last week *headesk*
Madam Pince was something of a surprise - I hadn't intended to write her, and I'm glad she rang true for you. And I'm really glad you liked Neville because I consider you something of an authority on him. I liked him in the books, but you were the first author that really made me love him :)
I admit too that when I saw the prompts and was first thinking about this story, part of me really *hated* to put Harry through the ordeal, and the only thing that made it ok was knowing that it would bring him and Ginny closer.
So happy you liked Ginny - she just instinctively knows how to get through to him
When I was researching this story, I re-read the part of HBP where he breaks up with her, and JKR says something like "they understood each other perfectly." I figured they would have gotten back to that point after the war, and I'm glad it came through that way for you.
AwesomeNeville. who deserves kisses with lots of tongue. seriously, how can you not want to jump this man.
This made me laugh - and yes, I quite agree. The more I write him, the more I like him.

I love this line - the fact that Madam Pince considers the books as well as the students, because of course she would!
Harry, we are a family already; getting married will just make it official.
Oh, this. Such a lovely way of putting it.
I really enjoyed seeing Ginny interacting with Fleur and Penelope - and of course, your Neville was wonderful. Totally the kind of thing he would do.
The ending was great! Excellent story all round. :)
