Anybody a Life on Mars fan? UK version, I mean. I just finished the last episode and am completely blown away. Just--fantastic, fantastic television. I really cannot describe how much I came to love this show. Agh, now I need to make room for icons...

I stayed away from fandom while watching so that I could avoid spoilers, but I'm thinking I might dip in a bit now, at least for some fic. I love Sam/Annie and need more of it in my life, not to mention the practically canon Gene/Sam awesomeness.

Have you seen Ashes to Ashes? The description sounds like a remake except with a girl and in the 80s, but I am all about more Gene Hunt goodness...

As far as I remember, there's not that much Sam/Annie, but you'll be spoilt for choice with Gene/Sam.

I watched the first episode of Ashes to Ashes, but I found it too much of a rehash of Life On Mars. Also, I don't like Keeley Hawes very much. However, my friends who kept watching it said it's actually pretty good, and it's got a pretty big fandom, so I guess they're doing something right.

Yeah, I figured the popularity of ships would go about like that. :) As for Ashes to Ashes--hmm. I'll probably give it a couple episodes, then, and see how it goes. Thanks for the input. :D

It really is! I mean, watching a show sans-fandom criticism and over a short period of time always tends to make me like it more, but ... God, it's marvelous. I'm still musing over the ending. Have you seen Ashes to Ashes? I'm planning on watching it, but I'm curious if it's anywhere close to as good as LOM.

I'm seriously considering buying the DVDs, or at least Netflixing them and rewatching with my dad, since I think he would like it. Plus, it would be nice to see the episodes in better quality than much of what I watched, heh. :)
