Ohhhh I love it! :D I love that you talk about Robin's time in the Holy Land because sometime I feel we don't get enough of that on the show. This line was just wonderful:
Surely to live through the Holy Wars is all the torment one man can bear in a lifetime.
And I just love how you relate Marian saying "What will we do?" now to something they used to say to each other before, only then their lives were so different, and their relationship so much more simple. It's just beautiful.

Very well done! Somehow you've captured what it must feel like to have your heart ripped out, the loss of a promised life and love; the desperation and pain...and perhaps the denial as well.

This line is particularly poignant.
"Marian says the words she must say, and Robin wonders if he is dying."

Your writing style is lovely, and this is so painfully beautiful. I describe their despair so well, and I love it how they escape into silly dreams of what they could have had. Wonderful work.
