{hyperion} In which Sam tries to make the last couple days up to Jo.

[doesn't waste a whole lot of time once they get back to the Hyperion. As soon as he's through the door he's taking the stairs two at a time till he gets back to their room, and where she was. He knew he was going to have a lot to make up for, but right now he wanted to see her first

[it hadn't been an exactly restful bit of sleeping, but the weight on the bed and the pressure of his mouth atop her head, stir her from what little sleep she'd managed to steal, just making her alert enough to curl in closer to him for the moment, falling into old habits first]

[wraps his arms more tightly around her, closing his eyes and just relaxing next to her]

[it was easy to just forget the day, to let it all slip away with the way he was holding her, but the more she sinks into that moment of comfort the more aware she is that she hadn't been this comfortable a few minutes ago]
