[is seated on the main staircase of the Hyperion, five doors away from Jo's room, but he heard her call for Castiel and then send him away - rather loudly, not that it matters with his hearing.

he'll just wait, just in case... because he knows that brooding only gets a person so far into their own darkness]

[there are certain things that got hardwired into his brain over the years, and someone shouting when he's sleeping was one of the things that made him snap too. It took a minute for him to recognize the voice, but he was already moving towards the door, poking his head out to see what was happening]

Was that Jo?

Yeah.

[a beat] Her mother called, but I'm not sure why. She answered it down here in the lobby, but moved to her room quickly.

[nods before heading over to the room and knocking on her door lightly]

Hey, Blondie. Everything okay in there?

[he listens, carefully, picking up her breathing, her heartbeat... is grateful that he doesn't hear her crying]

She's breathing, but not getting up. She locked the door when she shut the door.
