The conversation with Mrs McCoy had been a bit touch-and-go for a while there, but Cal's honesty had won him some points. How many, he's not exactly sure, but enough so that he's now standing here and grinning while he watches Tina's reaction to the room.

"You like it?"

She turns to him, beaming.

"Cal, I love it. I feel like a princess."

"Good," Cal says, "because this weekend, you are a princess."

(Tina is the only person in the world he would say something like that to. If she tells anyone he knows, he'll deny it.

. . . to very little effect, considering their mutual acquaintances.)

"Oh my god, the bathroom's bigger than my room at home!"
