Star Troupe Top Otokoyaku Aran Kei Announces Retirement

As many suspected, Star Troupe top Aran Kei has announced that she is retiring at the end of the Tokyo run of her next main theater show, "My Dear Orleans/A Beintôt", 4/26/2009.

I think it's safe to expect a number of other Star Troupe retirement announcements over the next couple months, as many performers like to retire with their top star.

Oh no nono. I know it's bound to happen, but nevertheless it makes me pretty sad. Gone are my chances to see her live (Takarazuka) ;(
Just read one of your (jenebi's) translations a few days ago, she seems like such a strong, intelligent person - whatever path she is going to choose, I wish her all the best and I'm definitely going to follow her post-Zuka career with great interest :)

Let's enjoy her last show as Top.
