A few more shows for 2008....

Well, I think word has spread to everyone already, but for those who haven't heard yet, there have been a few more shows for 2008 announced. Among them is the answer to a lot of speculation: Star Troupe will be the one doing "The Scarlet Pimpernel" (Koike directing, of course. Must be nice to be Koike-S). Also, Matobu Sei's first top star Grand Theater show will be based on Rosemary Sutcliff's "Blood and Sand" novel -- a Scotsman who fought in Napoleon's army gets captured in Arabia, etc. Tani Masazumi is adapting/directing, which makes me curious.... I've tended to really like his Grand Theater shows, but they don't seem to end happily very often... T_T

Takarazuka will be redoing "Singin' In the Rain", with Ume-chan as Cathy yet again, but with Tani as Don instead of Cosmo (of course!). And Star Troupe's Bow Hall restaging for the 30th anniversary celebration will be "Anna Karenina".
