Christmas listing already :D

Hi everyone, I started making up my Christmas list (super early, I know) and in the process found a few Takarazuka items that I'm not sure if I want to get, so I was hoping someone can help me out with them (all of them are books so basically I'm hoping someone has these in their possession or has seen them and can give me a general idea of what's ( Read more... )

Oops. Got cut off.

Elisabeth - Purely pictures. Pretty much every picture imaginable and a ton of pages. I would have gotten it if I wasn't so cheap. It even includes some shots of the Vienna Cast with the Takarazuka Girls

Takarazuka Revue - This was always shrink-wrapped, so I never got to see inside. However, it looks like great quality and includes a backstage DVD.

Sky Stage - Pictures!

TCA - I've never seen this before

Thanks!! And thanks for uploading (again)!! I was just wondering, when you mentioned you needed to split the video files, do you mean split as in using hjsplit or split as in like...how the Hanagumi version of the Elisabeth show you sent me was split where each split-up file is a video of its own?? I'm not sure which program you're using to split but I know hjsplit doesn't take that long to split files so if you're finding that process to be taking a long time maybe try hjsplit? And then I can just connect the files together on my end and voila~

I'm a bit daft today. I had never tried HJsplit, I was using an AVI splitter. Now that you mention it, though, HJsplit would be a lot easier and make a lot more sense. Great idea, I'll try another go tonight.

I have the Elisabeth mook, and it's definitely worth the money. There are lots of nice pictures, including interesting comparison pictures between the troupes, and if you can read Japanese, the articles are very interesting too. And the quiz in the back is crazy fun.

I've flipped through the Revue book but it didn't hold my interest. Just skimming the interviews they didn't seem too fascinating.

I usually flip through Le Cinq but never buy it . . . but the 2007 TCA issue was the closest I ever got. It is very, very shiny.
