Fridays. It's like the the day upon which the two of my strongest interests fight it out for brain-space. Politics v Fandom. SRS v NOT SRS. Or, maybe that's not true, because I take fandom very serious-like. I research my fic and everything, and sometimes I even bother to read meta

Am totally with you on the nuclear deterrant, and the heteronormativity, and I really feel that tentacles would be a positive addition to the leadership debates/electoral contest.

I didn't watch it (I know, I'm terrible) so what do you mean by the tories' associations in Brussels? Do they sit in the far-righty gang there?
Finally, why are there so many AUs where one of the characters is a prostitute?
This is either a lazy way of getting character X to have sex with character Y, or else the author just think it's sexy.

The Tories in the EC associate with the anti-Europe parties, many of which are far-right, ultra-nationalist, racist, homophobic groups who deny climate change. Amongst other things. I think it's a disgrace. Cameron's whole attitude to anyone who isnt straight and married is a big turn-off for me. I'd rather put my head down a toilet than vote for him.
On AUs, it just confuses me how there are just so many. I don't like it myself, which is fine and people can write what they want, it just strikes me as odd.

Bloody, fucking Tridant. Seriously. That went out of fashion about, oh, I dunno, 1991?
I hate what pretty much everyone says about immigration, but this doesn't surprise me.
Brown saying 'Get real, Nick' was a truly comedy moment. Cringeworthy and obviously rehearsed, but also hilarious.
And The Sun and Sky should possibly try to make it a little less obvious that they are trying to manipulate the polls *eyeroll*

The whole obsession with nuclear arsenals just makes me think ARE YOU ALL TRYING TO COMPENSATE FOR SOMETHING? And yeah, the immigration thing is just another example of rumour/racism/political aspiration without any thought to the reality of immigration. Drives me mad.
Oh Sky. I did notice that the "host" guy twice asked inpromptu and in my opinion completely inaprpriate questions which to me was completely against the rules, particularly because both times he attached Nick Clegg. That bothered me very much. On the Sun? If I ever see something true in there I'll have a heartattack and die of shock.

Really now, some of those gods were older than dirt and Lucifer killed them like he was eating a soft mushy cupcake. There's something terribly wrong about that.
