This morning, I finally tried to watch the Oreimo PSP visual novel close-captioned. No problems with stuttering video or sync. But to be honest, watching the first part, it definitely seemed like a licensed game. The VN appears to assume the reader is familiar with the light novel (or at least its spinoff anime), as it skipped over quite a few

I watched the Kuroneko route and was very dissappointed.
It felt like "buy the light novel" for the full story
