I was of course very excited for this movie. Owls! And I have read all the books. I've seen the movie a couple times now, and it seems that it won't be in theaters much longer, since it's not doing all that great

Plot: Well, unless the author is CS Lewis. Or Tolkien. Or Rowling -- then one book gets split into two.
Even if you're J.K.Rowling, your books don't escape the rewrite-for-screenplay. So much has been dropped from the Harry Potter series; stuff that is relevant and key to the 7th book. It will be interesting (a few weeks from now) to see how they end up dealing with trying to make things that weren't in past films link in to things that should be for this.
well..what i can say??.. i noticed the movie was coming out a mere month ago, and thanks to an trailer in a TV in the cinema's ticket boot i pass by every monday ... and after watching the movie (could not resists, birds lover here) heard there where book, went like crazy hunting them... to find nowhere them.. no books!!! ;V; a bit more of reserach in amazon lead me to 3 books in spanish, and seeking onto the publisher website... they have only the 5th book, coming in december 30th, and 6th, january 30th.... but the other first 4s, out of theyr database and publication... gone, extinct...and no signs of re-printing... ¬v¬:;;; WHYYYYYYYY ;V;
I really, really, don't like birds. So I suppose it says a lot that I really enjoyed this film- never having read the books, I found it actually quite watchable, which is more than I can say for the vast majority of stuff I've seen over the past few years. The armour and all that was absolutely adorable and really well thought-out, and I agree that the pop song was totally out of place.
Huge difference between Finding Nemo's birds and now. I thought the popsong (by OWL CITY) was cute, a little out of place but cute, I couldn't help but sing along. But the big thing that caught my eye was the fact that they had fire water AND feathers all in the same movie. I'm sorry, I let myself forget the books and simply enjoyed the eye candy that is The Owls.
I haven't ever seen Finding Nemo, which kind of surprises me. Ha.
Oh trust me, I really really enjoyed this movie, hence my telling everyone to go see it. I think the fact I've seen it four times in the theater speaks to that!
The water, fire and feathers were all done SO well!
