Wow, Greg is getting comfortable quick, I love the little bits of his personality peeking through. Wilson is so new to all of this but I'm glad that he is starting to spell things out for Greg.

Greg's slowly beginning to realise that Wilson really doesn't mean him any harm :)

Thanks for reading !

Wilson and Cuddy's talk drives the point of seeing slaves differently even further, and Cuddy's not even as harsh as some others.

Love how Greg can discover things about his past without getting the punishment zap; even though it's extremely unlikely he'll ever return to his old job, he can still enjoy reading about it. Love also how he's starting to take little 'risks' that no doubt would be impossible for him to do anywhere else (at least now). A little sad that some gadgets and many events have passed him by until now, but now there's some chance to get to know them.

Lovely, again :)

I kept wondering if House had any lunch. Did Wilson already tell him he could eat whatever he wanted?

I was driving in to work and hoping there would be an update. Really enjoying this and wishing some more people were writing!

I was going to do the lunch thing but it didn't end up making it into the chapter! - maybe next one. Glad you're enjoying it!

Those little 'risks' Greg are taking are big steps for him - and once he does them with no adverse consequences he'll get more comfortable with where he is. Yeah, Greg has a fair bit to catch up on - he's seen glimpses of stuff here and there but now he'll get to discover it slowly for himself.

Glad you're enjoying it, thanks for reading!

Greg's starting to come out of his shell. It's great that he can access his old knowledge, too. I think Wilson is about to have his hands full.

Yes, Greg is getting more comfortable. Wilson is pleased at the moment, but he may end up regretting it :)

I was wondering if Greg had been a doctor in this universe and now I know. I am glad he was one and I was also happy to see little flickers of House in Greg, such as interest in exploring and the books. Though I think our House would be just as interested in the TV set, not to mention Wilson. ;) Cuddy seems realistic - caring about Wilson and not cruel towards Greg, but still realistic.

I was wondering with the TV whether it wouldn't all seem a bit disconnected to Greg. Like, the last TV he watched (except for glimpses here and there) was around 20 years ago and he's lost touch with modern conventions and methods of storytelling (not to mention modern references etc). I was watching a series that I used to enjoy from the 80s the other day and it just all seemed incredibly *dated*, so I was wondering if that wouldn't happen the other way around. /tl:dr

I'm glad you thought Cuddy seemed realistic - she tends to be a bit of a pragmatist in these slavery AUs - not cruel, but not overly sentimental about the slaves either - they're just a reality of life to her.

Aww Greg's discovered a love of reading! My favourite bit in this is when he finds the courage to call him Wilson, after all the "yes, sir; no, sir" business. Still loving this! Apologies for taking so long to catch up with it - the internet has been on the blink lol. More asap please!
