A couple years back my beau went as 1602 Daredevil - complete with blindfold. It was a really great likeness, but we both knew no one would ever recognize him...
Except, just as we're walking up to the party [or as I am leading him up to the party] one guy sitting on the front porch shouts "Are you 1602 Daredevil?!" The beau was flabbergasted, but thrilled. And we knew right there that the guy on the porch needed to become a great friend.
Then we spent the rest of the night explaining who 1602 Daredevil is.
